Early beta phase utilizing 3D primitive shapes only as representations just don't cut it in the graphics department. Thanks to GameDevHQ and discovering their exclusive assets folder my prototype space shooter look and feel better.
The only difference between my game objects were solid color or a different shape. Learning to convert 3D primitive game objects into 2D sprites really changed the game. No more feeling like a kid with a action figure.
Now with a cosmic background, visuals and effects that deliver in graphics, in the scene view my space shooter is starting to feel like a real video game. Player vs Enemy, Triple Shot & Power Ups have all essentially improved the game-play.
